Me Loving Mexican Food? Hard to Imagine! -- ****

But it has come true! I have just ingested the most delicious quesadilla I've ever had.. I've ever imagined possible! Big slices of flour tortilla filled with juicy heirloom tomato, aromatic basil leaves the size of baby bakchoy, fire-roasted chicken that would've been a delight on its own, all bound together with an oozy gooey blanket of cheese, then the entire thing crusted on both sides with a layer of caramelized chewy-crunchy asiago cheese. When I drove back from the restaurant my MINI was immediately filled with its heady aroma, I knew this was gonna be something special. But wow.. there's enough flavor on and in these heavenly slices to turn a monk into a ravenous pig.

Six slices of quesadilla makes probably a medium pizza sized meal. Its filling enough to fill easily two meals for me. There's a side of shredded romains and a little mound of this red paste thing that tastes like some mexican version of miso. Strange and very tasty. If someone knows what that is, let me know. Too bad I don't have a camera at work.

I'm so stuffed now cheese could be oozing out of my belly button (gross eh?). But, can't, stop, eating, one more slice...

Today's Special @ Rio Adobe. 10525 S. De Anza Blvd x McClellan.
$7.50 incl tax.

  • Thanks... the description of the food sounded enticing right up to the point where it came out your belly button.

Take me to this place next time I'm by, I've never had Mexican food I *really* loved before!
